Multiple offices (CT and NJ) within Day Pitney LLP are hiring for five separate junior-midlevel positions.  Please see below for additional details.

1: Real Estate Associate, Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use Department (Stamford, CT)

The Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use department seeking attorney for the Stamford office with 3-6 years experience in Connecticut and regional commercial real estate practice, including commercial mortgage financing, acquisitions and sales leasing. The ideal candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, drafting skills and written and oral communication skills. Connecticut Bar admission is required.

2: Private Investment Funds Associate, Private Investment Funds Group (Stamford, CT)

Private Investment Funds Group seeks highly qualified mid-level associate(s) for the Stamford, CT office. Candidates must have general experience both working in teams and in managing substantial components of transactions/investments independently.  Specific experience should include merger and acquisition transactions, growth equity and venture capital transactions and exits for various types of investment management clients, including private equity sponsors, independent sponsors, hedge fund sponsors and the investors in such types of clients (e.g., pension funds, family offices, etc.).  

Fund formation and structuring experience is preferred.  Experience with the Investment Advisers Act, Securities Act, Dodd Frank, CFTC and FINRA rules and regulations as they apply to alternative investment funds is highly desired.

Candidates applying for attorney positions with Day Pitney should have outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. New York and/or CT bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.

3: Life Sciences and Healthcare Associate, Corporate and Business Law Department (Parsippany, NJ)

Life Sciences and Healthcare Associate needed for our Corporate and Business Law Department. The ideal candidate should possess 2-4 years specialized experience in transactional and regulatory matters, including (but not limited to) Anti-Kickback, Stark, HIPAA, HITECH and ACA. FDA experience is helpful, but not required. New Jersey Bar admission is required; admission to the New York Bar is desired.

4: Technology Associate, Technology, Telecommunications and Outsourcing Practice Group (Parsippany, NJ)

Technology Associate needed for our Technology, Telecommunications and Outsourcing Practice Group (Corporate Department). The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of large law firm experience in the area of technology and IP licensing arrangements, transfer of technology and intellectual property, and outsourcing contracts, as well as New Jersey, New York or Connecticut Bar admission. Said candidate will provide support to this group in the areas of computer science, media and communications, antitrust, the sciences and engineering for large and small businesses in a variety of industries. Candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, along with excellent written and oral communication skills.

5: Corporate Associate, Corporate and Business Law Department (Parsippany, NJ)

The Corporate and Business Law Department is seeking an associate candidate with 2-4 years of large law firm experience in the areas of public companies, securities, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions experience. Candidate should possess excellent academic credentials, along with excellent written and oral communications skills. New Jersey Bar admission is required; admission to New York Bar is desired.

6: Commercial Litigation Associate, Insurance and Reinsurance Practice Group (Hartford, CT)

The Commercial Litigation department (Insurance and Reinsurance practice group) seeking attorney for the Hartford office with 2 to 4 years strong commercial litigation experience. Insurance and Reinsurance Disputes experience is required. The ideal candidate should have excellent academic credentials and written and oral communication skills. Connecticut Bar Admission is required.

Kilgore Coffee Hours in NorCal & SoCal (potentially early March)

Assuming sufficient interest, we're considering hosting additional Kilgore coffee hours in San Francisco and Los Angles in early March (likely between Monday 3/10 and Wednesday 3/12).  If you're interested in hosting or attending, have any thoughts or suggestions, and/or would like a better idea of what's taken place at our past few coffee hours, please contact me directly.
