Good afternoon!  This week we have an unprecedented two Kilgore emails, thanks to an influx of interesting opportunities and news items that have found their way to us throughout the week! 

Following up on a news article we shared earlier this week, we have additional information on an exciting new law firm fellowship opportunity for returning women lawyers (available in cities across the country), as well as job opportunities from California to Philly, DC, and North Carolina. We also welcome two new alumnae staff members, honor one alumna with a portrait unveiling next week, and highlight a recent interview with current Penn President Amy Gutmann at Davos, in which she speaks a bit about women and leadership.

Fellowship Opportunity

OnRamp Fellowship (4 major law firms, 15 cities across the U.S.)

As noted in the American Lawyer article in our last Kilgore newsletter, last week saw the launch of OnRamp Fellowship, a new initiative offering a re-entry platform for female lawyers (with a minimum of 3 years of experience, and who have taken at least a 2 year hiatus from the legal profession) that matches them with law firms for a 1 year, paid training fellowship.

New Hires: Alumnae Returning to Penn (Amanda Aronoff L'95 and Catharine Restrepo L'93)

Amanda Aronoff, L'95 has recently returned to Penn Law as Coordinator of Cross-Disciplinary Programs, which will have her thinking through many aspects of our cross-disciplinary education and offerings. Prior to returning to Penn Law, Amanda was the Executive Director of WOMEN'S WAY, where she led efforts to create an equitable, just and safe future for women in the Philadelphia Region through philanthropy, public policy and education.   

Catharine Restrepo, L'93 has returned to Penn Law as Coordinator for our new Masters in Law (ML) Degree Program.  Catharine recently worked in financial litigation at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and she currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Swarthmore Zoning Hearing Board.
