1: The 40th Anniversary Conference: Penn Women's Center and Penn's Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies (GSWS) Program Celebrate Forty Years on Campus at Penn
Thursday, February 27 and Friday, February 28 at 5:00pm at the University of Pennsylvania

This conference honors the evolution of women, gender, and sexuality studies at Penn, and the field's decades-long evolution in academia and at Penn.  The anniversary celebration features faculty and student panels on a range of topics, including the role of gender in art, literature, health care, the labor market, and religion.  For more information, click here.  

2: Women's Resource Center's 8th Annual Leadership Luncheon

Women's Resource Center, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women, strengthening families, and building community through information, referral, counseling, and legal and education services, will be holding its annual Leadership Luncheon on April 11 to honor women and businesses leading the way in helping women, girls, and families.

Jami McKeon, the current chair-elect of Morgan Lewis LLP,  which will make her the firm's first woman chair and one of only a handful of women in the U.S. to head large law firms, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Priscilla J. (“Sally”) Mattison recently presented two articles that she co-authored at the 48th annual MIDEM conference in Cannes, France. The articles, “An Overview of Synchronization Licenses” and “An Overview of Master Use Licenses: Film and Television Uses,” were both published in the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers 2014 publication, “Licensing of Music—From BC to AD (Before the Change/After Digital).”
