Why Women Don't Negotiate Their Job Offers (Harvard Business Review Blog 6/19/14)  Research shows that women are more reticent than men to negotiate their salary offers, and studies have found that this has more to do with the "social cost" of negotiating for higher pay that is often greater for women than it is for men.
