Can I direct my annual gift to a specific area of the Law School?

Yes! You can have a greater impact on the areas that are important to you by supporting a subfund of the Fund for Penn Law. You can choose to contribute to the following areas:

  • Scholarship
    • The Law School maintains its commitment to increasing financial aid. Approximately 75% of incoming students express interest in financial support each year. By directing your gift to the Fund for Penn Law – Scholarship today, you will help provide this critical financial assistance to students.

  • Student Life
    • Making sure students are wholly supported, whether on campus or while working remotely, is critical to providing a positive Law School experience. The Fund for Penn Law – Student Life provides resources that help meet personal and classroom needs of our students. Continued funding is crucial to our ability to flexibly adapt and excel, especially as remote learning resources and creative experiential opportunities arise and evolve.

  • Clinical and Experiential Learning
    • Students in Penn Law’s Gittis Center for Clinical Legal Studies not only learn valuable practical legal skills and put theory into practice, but they have also helped many deserving clients in Philadelphia and around the world. These tangible experiences for students have real outcomes for clients and we hope you will consider supporting their work.
  • Public Interest
    • Support of the Toll Public Interest Center helps students provide access to legal services for clients in need, both within in our community and beyond. Twenty-two pro bono projects are currently providing legal services to local residents and communities.
  • Professionalism and Wellness
    • Consider supporting our students’ wellness and professional development, especially at a time when they are navigating a new environment.
  • First Generation Support
    • 35% of Penn Carey Law students are First Generation Professionals. 12% are the first in their families to obtain a bachelor’s degree. A gift to this fund will assist with financial aid and other programmatic support that will provide these students with the tools they need to succeed in their chosen career.
  • Faculty Support
    • The Law School’s faculty continues to set the standard for thought leadership in many legal areas, including healthcare, insurance, corporate law, bankruptcy, criminal law, ethics, rule of law, technology, international and civil rights law. Many of the Law School’s esteemed faculty have been featured in various news outlets to lend their expertise. Contributions to our fund for Faculty Support allow the Law School to recruit and retain preeminent legal scholars.
  • Biddle Law Library
    • Gifts to the Biddle Law Library help provide the library with resources needed to provide the entire Penn Law community with the utmost service in an increasingly virtual world.
