Other Ways to Connect with Our Students

Office of Career Strategy programs strive to provide unique opportunities for employers to interact with Penn Law students. During this virtual phase of our more formal programs, we are busy designing additional ways to connect employers with our talented students.

Practice Area Fair: The annual Practice Area Fair, previously held in November, is a chance for firms to educate students about a particular area of law practice. The event, which is traditionally very well-attended, gives students a better understanding of the work involved in various types of law practice and presents an opportunity for employers to increase their visibility with Penn Law students and to generate enthusiasm about a particular field of law.

We are currently looking at meaningful ways to move this fair online.

Mock Interview Program: The Mock Interview Program, previously held each spring, matches attorneys with current 1Ls who are beginning to prepare for the upcoming fall recruiting season. Attorneys conduct a brief mock interview and then provide constructive feedback and advice on the student’s interviewing style. Participating employers are invited to mingle with students immediately following the interviews.

Job Fairs

Our Penn Law students attend various job fairs throughout the year and across the country, such as GPALS, ISIP, PIPS, Minority student job fairs, and Patent law job fairs. If you are in attendance, don’t miss the opportunity to connect with our talented students!

1L Outreach Events

Employers are invited to schedule virtual 1L outreach events with our Penn Law students. Please contact us if you would like to schedule an event or discuss additional ways to connect with our students.

We are also happy to distribute information to our students about upcoming employer events, such as webinars and live virtual Q&As. Please let us know!

Student Groups

We encourage employers to connect directly with our student groups, many of which organize panel presentations, symposia and other events throughout the year that incorporate employer participation.
