The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School’s commitment to public interest lawyering is unsurpassed. Resources for students pursuing public interest work include financial support, fellowship opportunities, and one-on-one counseling to help launch their careers.
We support our students and graduates in three key ways:
- OCS has two full-time counselors dedicated to supporting students who seek government or public interest employment.
- OCS offers programs and career counseling dedicated to the public sector job search, including networking opportunities with public sector lawyers.
- We provide dedicated and intensive fellowship application support. OCS collaborates with the Toll Public Interest Center and Gittis Clinics to maximize opportunities to engage in public sector practice during law school.
We offer various services to students who are considering pursing public service for a summer or as a career:
Postgraduate Public Interest Fellowships - information about fellowships generally recent examples of fellowships secured by Penn graduates.
