By taking coursework at Penn Law, both upper-level undergraduate and graduate students can gain an understanding of legal reasoning, analysis, and familiarity with substantive law in the areas directly impacting their professional and academic settings.  

We know the value that different perspectives bring to our law school classes. We welcome and support all students from the many schools of the University who take classes with us, complementing their studies in other disciplines with studies in law.

Certificate of Law

Master in Law

Graduate students wishing to signal a stronger level of legal expertise also have the unique opportunity to obtain a Certificate of Law, which is designed to blend seamlessly with graduate programs offered at the University of Pennsylvania.

Penn Law now offers the Master in Law degree to help Penn students and accomplished professionals in fields outside of law expand their knowledge of legal principles and the U.S. legal system. Learn more about the Master in Law program.

Summer Programs

Custom Programs

Penn Law offers a number of summer programs for pre-college, college, and pre-LL.M. international students.

Tailored programs for groups of 25 or larger meet the needs of students from elite universities, corporations and law firms. Programs can be custom designed to cover a wide array of legal topics including:

Continuing Legal Education


Penn Law offers a wide array of lectures, panels and symposia. These programs are presented by Penn Law faculty, law journals, and student groups covering a broad array of substantive and ethical legal issues and practice areas.
