East Asia Law Review

Please email your submission to:

The mission of the University of Pennsylvania Asian Law Review (ALR) is to provide a forum for the study of law in Asia. Submissions should be related to the law, its practice, implementation, or implications in Asian countries and regions. Submissions are welcome from anyone with an interest in Asian law, including but not limited to legal academics, professionals, and scholars. Please note that ALR does not accept previously published articles. Authors are also requested to submit a resume, if possible, so their professional credentials may be verified in the event of publication.

Submissions must be in English and be properly cited - Bluebook format is preferred. More information on the Bluebook can be found at Usage of proper English grammar, verifiable source citations, and minimal typographical errors are also important. After receiving submissions, ALR will select only the highest quality manuscripts for publication. Due to the overwhelming quantity of manuscripts we receive, authors should only anticipate a response if their article is accepted by the journal.

Once ALR and the author have agreed to publish a piece, our editors will check it for accuracy and proper citation format to conform to the latest edition of the Bluebook. The finished product will then be published on our website and distributed to our subscribers and databases. All issues of ALR will be published on Westlaw, Hein and Lexis.

Thank you for your interest in ALR.
