Nicole Isaac L ’04

Nicole, L ’04, is the Senior Director of North America Policy for LinkedIn, engaging with the Administration, Congress, and policy-oriented NGOs on issues ranging from privacy and security to workforce policy issues. Since graduating from Penn Law in 2004, she has held a variety of positions in public service, including at the White House, the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Constitutional Court of South Africa.

From 2009 – 2014, she worked in the White House, first as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs, where she was an advisor to Vice President Joe Biden and a liaison between the Vice President and Members of Congress on domestic and international legislative issues, and then as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs, where she advised President Obama and negotiated with over a hundred Members of Congress, including the House Financial Services, Judiciary, and Appropriations Committees, on issues ranging from intellectual property, patent reform, and banking reform. She also was a law clerk at the Constitutional Court of South Africa, a Legislative Counsel for the House of Representatives, and Floor Counsel for the United States Senate, and has spent time as an adjunct professor Georgetown University.

In 2013, she was awarded the Young Alumni Award honoring the professional achievement of an alumnus/a who graduated within the past years.
