Kairos - Open Discourse Society

We are dedicated to promoting an environment of healthy debate and dialogue on campus by hosting discussions and forums on salient and often controversial topics. We ensure a respectful and “collegial” setting in order to foster a model of positive and productive discourse. We firmly believe that truly reasonable minds often can differ. And the antidote to bad speech is more and thoughtful speech.

Past events include a discussion of the pros and cons of affirmative action and a student-panel on the merits of various testing accommodations. Future events may include topics such as the 2020 election, gun control, teacher tenure, drug legalization, and more.
