Domenic Powell L’20

Domenic Powell is from Huntersville, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a B.A. in International Studies and History and minored in Hispanic Studies. Before Penn Law, he worked for several years as an organizer, policy advocate, and media strategist in the immigrant rights movement. Most recently, Domenic worked as an advocacy & policy strategist in the national office of the American Civil Liberties Union, advancing legislation in the states and Congress to defend the rights of immigrants.

At Penn Law, he is Vice Chair of the Environmental Law Project, Associate Editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law, and Communications Editor for The Regulatory Review. Domenic spent his 1L summer with the Sierra Club’s Environmental Law Program in Oakland, California, working to move the U.S. energy grid away from dirty fuels.
