Grace Leppanen L’22

Grace is committed to pursuing a public interest career advocating for reform of the criminal justice system. Originally from Wisconsin, Grace attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a degree in Political Science with Comprehensive Honors and a certificate in Criminal Justice. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Undergraduate International Studies and tutored undergraduate students as a member of the Writing Fellows program. Upon graduating, Grace completed a year-long term of service with the AmeriCorps VISTA program. She served at the Neighborhood Legal Clinics, a civil legal aid organization in Seattle, Washington, and completed capacity building projects to expand services and improve outcomes for clients. Grace currently volunteers for the Penn Pardon Project. In her spare time Grace is a prolific knitter, who regularly runs out of yarn.
