Seema Saifee

Research Fellow

Seema Saifee researches and writes in the fields of criminal law and constitutional criminal procedure. Her academic work draws on her experience as a staff attorney at the Innocence Project in New York where she represented indigent clients in state and federal courts across the nation in cases challenging their criminal convictions based on evidence of innocence and federal constitutional violations, and her previous experience representing several ethnic Uighur men imprisoned indefinitely without charge in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Seema clerked for Judge Dan A. Polster in the Northern District of Ohio.
