Alisha Rodriguez

Alisha Rodriguez is TPIC’s Associate Director for Access to Justice Initiatives. She oversees Penn Carey Law’s pro bono projects, working closely with student leaders on project management, volunteer training, and community outreach.

Alisha joins Penn Carey Law after a career in private practice where she represented clients in litigation matters in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania while also carrying a full roster of pro bono cases. Prior to her work in the private sector, Alisha clerked for the Honorable Leon W. Tucker, Supervising Judge of the Criminal Trial Division, Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County, where she had the unique opportunity to clerk in both the civil and criminal trial divisions.

Alisha is a cum laude graduate of Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law where she graduated with outstanding pro bono service honors and a moot court distinction. Her pro bono service was wide-ranging – from immigration to consumer protection. While at Drexel, Alisha was selected as a member of the Student Faculty Colloquium, which facilitated the development of the Community Lawyering Clinic at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships. She was also chosen as a Ms. JD Fellow, served as National Director of Programming for the National Black Law Students Association, and was President of the Women’s Law Society. Alisha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University.

Alisha currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Philadelphia Bar Association. She previously served as President of the National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division, Philadelphia Chapter (WLD).

Alisha is a native New Yorker who enjoys a good dance class and a great plate of food.
