Nadia Banteka

Bio

Nadia Banteka joined the Penn Law S.J.D. program as a Dean’s Scholar. Prior to that, Nadia graduated from the Penn Law LL.M, where she also joined as a Dean’s Scholar, with distinction and was the recipient of the LL.M Excellence Award. She also holds a LL.B from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, and a LL.M in International Criminal Justice and Armed Conflict from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Nadia is currently a Lecturer in Law at The Hague University, and a Research Fellow at the Bynkershoek Institute of International Law. Previously, she served as a Legal Advisor to the Defense Counsel at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and a Research Assistant at the University of Nottingham Human Rights Law Center. While at Penn, Nadia also serves as a Special Member to The Philomathean Society of the University of Pennsylvania.
