Nizan Packin

Bio

Nizan Geslevich Packin was awarded her SJD in May, 2014.  She started her legal education in Israel where she simultaneously worked as an intern at a leading Israeli law firm. In addition, during her Law and undergraduate Economics studies, Nizan worked as an academic researcher and teaching assistant in the law faculty at Haifa University. Upon graduating, Haifa University Nizan served as a law clerk to Justice Salim Jubran in the Israeli Supreme Court. Following her clerkship, in 2007, she completed the LLM program at Columbia Law School, where she was accepted with a generous merit scholarship. While at Columbia, Nizan participated in a Federal Court externship program at the chambers of Honorable Jack B. Weinstein in the Eastern District of New York, and interned at the Federal Trade Commission. After taking the New York bar exam, Nizan started working as an associate at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York in the Corporate Restructuring group.
