Apratim Vidyarthi

Apratim Vidyarthi is a rising 3L from the nearby city of New Delhi. He studied Nuclear Engineering and Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley, where he discovered that California is the best state. Allergic to stillness, he moved to DC, then to engineering graduate school at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, before working in technology consulting at Deloitte in Chicago.

Having realized he is bad at math, Apratim made his way to law school, where he hopes to work on technology law and First/Fourth amendment issues. He will be spending his 2L summer at Gibson Dunn and Hogan Lovells in New York, but really in his apartment. At Penn, Apratim is a board member on the Council of Student Representatives, the Democracy Law (pro-bono) project, the Tennis Club, and Law Review. Apratim’s greatest achievement is having done stand-up and improv at Second City, where he made at least one (1) person laugh. In Philadelphia, Apratim loves playing tennis, boxing (mostly getting punched in the face), trying new restaurants (and bemoaning the dearth of New York pizza), working on his culinary skills, and explaining that his name means ‘unique student’ in Hindi and that it is alright that you cannot pronounce it properly.
