Jacob Boyer L’17

Jacob currently works as a Deputy Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Impact Litigation Section. His work focuses on affirmative, multi-state litigation in all levels of the federal judiciary. Jacob clerked for the Honorable Diane P. Wood on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and for the Honorable Beryl A. Howell in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

During law school, Jacob was active in Penn’s Pardon Project, criminal defense clinic, and appellate advocacy programs. In his last year at Penn, he successfully represented a habeas petitioner serving a life sentence before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. After winning the appeal, Jacob’s client was later acquitted at the new trial.
