“One of the more stimulating aspects of my summer internship was going to court and watching a variety of different proceedings. Sometimes in the classroom I worry that I have a tendency to get detached from the practical reality of what the criminal justice system does. The importance of humanity in the whole process is something that will continue to stay with me long after my internship has ended.”
