    The Town Hall addressed the current state of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and the challenges it is facing at the Supreme Court. On November 12, students from the Law School traveled with students, staff, and faculty from across the University of Pennsylvania campus to Washington, D.C., to witness as thousands participated in rallies on the Supreme Court steps.

    In April, students from Penn Law’s seminar of International Women’s Rights presented their research during a forum at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. The seminar was taught by Rangita de Silva de Alwis, the Law School’s Associate Dean for International Programs. In this video feature, students from the course discuss their work on women’s rights and the trip to meet with policymakers and researchers.

    Three Penn Law faculty members and four students were among the 150 participants in this year’s International Conference on Legislation and Law Reform, held in November at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

    A group of Penn Law students traveled to Washington, D.C. to visit the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Justice, and the Urban Institute to learn about the numerous legal issues involved in fair housing policy.

    Penn Law students visited Washington, D.C., to meet with tax attorneys and economists from Congress, the U.S. Treasury, and the U.S. Tax Court as part of the Model Government Service and Public Affairs Initiative.
