Awards, Honors, Prizes

At commencement, students with high academic standing may be awarded the JD cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude. In addition, a multitude of honors and awards, a listing of which may be found at the Registrar’s Office, are available to those having earned special recognition. (Faculty Minutes, April 12, 1971)

The Barenkopf Scholarship goes to the rising 3L* with the best academic record at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School for the first two years of the JD program. Only those who have completed all graded course work by June 1 of their second year will be eligible for the Scholarship.

*In rare circumstances more than one student receives this award.
