Penn Law offering free online CLE to alumni through the summer

March 19, 2020

As promised, we are writing to keep you informed on Penn’s response to Coronavirus (COVID-19). By now, you should have received President Gutmann’s email explaining the University’s decision to postpone Commencement and Reunion Weekend. While not unexpected in these unusual times, we share in your disappointment in the postponement of Commencement and Reunion. We are working, alongside the University, to create virtual and in-person opportunities to allow our students to receive the recognition of their accomplishments as they transition to University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School graduates and for our alumni to reconvene as friends and colleagues. We will continue to keep our community updated on our plans as they develop.

As always, we are here to support you as we continue to navigate through these changes together. As part of our continued support, we are offering all alumni free online CLE courses at least through the end of the summer. You can see a short selection of available courses below, and our entire CLE course library here. For those not in need of CLE credits but are intellectually curious about a different area of law, we recently produced a new Coursera course in Healthcare Law which seems particularly timely considering current events.

Let us reiterate that we are all facing unique challenges, but, as a Law School, we are confident that we will continue to identify and pursue opportunities to enhance our work and scholarship. Providing free online CLE courses for our valued alumni is just one example of our commitment to learning and growing together as a community.
