Penn Law does not rank students or calculate GPA, so employers generally do not know where students fall in the class. We provide all OCI employers with an explanation of the Penn Law grading system, and employers are aware that Penn Law students are selected from the most competitive law school applicants in the country. Some employers enter the same hiring criteria for all law schools, and may not apply the criteria as strictly to Penn students. However, you can use the criteria as a loose guide of how grade-conscious a particular firm might be.

In addition, you can review the firm-specific information we’ve compiled to get a general idea of the grade ranges of successful candidates. If you’re concerned about your grades, please contact CP&P to discuss the issue with a counselor.
