Oliver Paprin L’22

Born in New York and raised in Atlanta, Oliver is passionate about using public interest law to empower and fuel social movements. Oliver attended Emory University as a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar and graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in History. While at Emory, Oliver co-founded the Emory Impact Investing Group which continues to lend to entrepreneurs in Atlanta communities that have historically been the targets of disinvestment. As a recipient of the George P. Cuttino Scholarship for independent research, Oliver moved to Buenos Aires as a rising senior to research Jesuit priests’ political behavior during the Dirty War.  

Following Emory, Oliver worked at Google before returning to Argentina on a Fulbright Scholarship, where he taught English and organized a variety of cultural exchanges with the local community. After returning from Argentina, Oliver joined the Immigration Center for Women and Children (ICWC) in San Francisco. As a legal assistant, Oliver advocated on behalf of survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other crimes. Oliver later managed the Legal Orientation Program for Custodians at ICWC, guiding unaccompanied minors and their families as they were reunified and entered removal proceedings.
