Thomas D. Campbell L’18

Thomas Campbell was selected through the Attorney General’s Honors Program and will be a Trial Attorney in the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. At Penn, he focused much of his legal research on issues of health care and white-collar prosecution.

Originally from New Hampshire’s scenic 18-mile stretch of coastline, Tom earned a B.A. in philosophy at the University of Vermont Honors College. He then worked at a rape crisis center, providing direct-service support to survivors of sexual violence and education to students, service providers, and youth in custody.

At Penn, Tom received a Masters in Bioethics from the Perelman School of Medicine and was an Articles Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and Communications Editor of the Regulatory Review. During his summers, he worked in the health care fraud unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts and at Williams & Connolly LLP. He also interned in the General Counsel’s Office of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and participated in Penn’s Civil Practice Clinic and Supreme Court Clinic.

After graduating, Tom clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He has since returned to New England is currently clerking for the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
