Most rewarding pro bono experience
”Learning how to work with clients processing trauma is a skill you cannot learn in a day. I’ve been developing my client interaction skills since 2013 when I first started working with survivors of domestic violence, and I still feel like I’m learning every time I step foot into an interview room. The value of Penn Law’s pro bono programs – for me, particularly groups like the Domestic Violence Assistance Project and the Custody and Support Assistance Clinic – is that they force you to gain understanding of the Philadelphia community and learn how to communicate with clients rather than at them.”
