The Federal Government Goes Mobile

Smartphones and tablets play such an important role in many people’s everyday lives—or at least it can feel like that sometimes. With so many people using these mobile devices, the Federal government has been making an increasing amount of information available in smartphone and tablet-friendly formats.
USA.gov’s Mobile App site gathers all the mobile websites and applications produced by various Federal organizations into one convenient location. Below are some apps which law students might find helpful.
Want to know the latest information about what is going on in the Obama Administration? The White House’s app provides access to news from their blog and newsroom in addition to featured videos and live steaming of White House Presidential events. iPhone and Android
U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) provides access to the government watchdog’s latest reports, Congressional testimony, and legal decisions. iPhone only
Need to conduct Congressional research or just like to keep abreast of what is happening on Capitol Hill? The Congressional Record is now available on the iPad. Users can access prior editions dating back to 1995 or read about the day’s events. iPad only
