Resource of Interest: C-Span Video Library
Written by Mark Popielarski, Recent Biddle Intern.
Over thirty years ago, C-SPAN began broadcasting the political affairs of Washington to households across the country. Their recordings of Congressional sessions, political debate, and many other programs provide a wealth of information, contemporaneous and historical, about the discourse and actions which shape our everyday lives. Now, C-SPAN has made virtually their entire archive of programming available online for users to watch. The C-SPAN Video Library provides a robust search engine to help users locate videos related to their research.
C-SPAN enhanced the usability of these videos by including advanced features such as a Timeline transcript which allows users to locate a specific portion of the conversation and skip to the relevant part in the video.
