Quattrone Center presents research findings at Mid-Atlantic Law and Society Association Conference

August 20, 2015

The Quattrone Center’s Dr. Erin Kerrison (also a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Criminology) will present research findings at the Mid-Atlantic Law and Society Association’s third annual conference, hosted by the John Jay College of Criminal Justice on October 10, 2015. The study’s case file analysis explores the formal and informal “give-and-take” mechanisms through which attorneys arrive at plea agreements.  The interdisciplinary thematic panelists alongside whom she will present this work, are all also members of the NSF-funded “Understanding Guilty Pleas” Research Collaboration Network, and will share research findings from their varied studies that examine the plea bargaining process from the perspective of defendants and/or their attorneys.
