Parawee Kasitinon

Bio

Parawee Kasitinon is a Law Lecturer in the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, Bangkok, and the recipient of a full scholarship from the Royal Thai Government to pursue LL.M. and S.J.D. at Penn Law. She completed the LL.M. program in 2014 and commenced the SJD Program in Fall, 2014.  Her stellar academic record also includes a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M.) in private law from Thammasat University and Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B., 1st class honors) from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.  Parawee obtained a Barrister-at-Law Certificate from the Institution of Legal Education, Thai Bar Association and a lawyer’s license from the Lawyers Council of Thailand.

Parawee has broad-based interests in private law and has previously taught the Law of Contracts, Torts, and Agency at Thammasat.  She is also co-editor of a treatise on the Law of Suretyship, Mortgage, Pledge and Warehousing, authored by one of Thailand’s foremost legal scholars, Jitti Tingsabadh. Before lecturing at Thammasat, Parawee also taught at a private university in Thailand for two years and worked as a legal officer in the Supreme Court of Thailand.
